As we advance into another millennium, we see that the Church is faced with a great number of obstacles.  Suddenly, we find ourselves spending time, energy, and effort in many different tasks.  Some of them are good and necessary.  Others are good, but not necessarily important.  Many are just infatuations or as Ecclesiastes says "a chasing after the wind".  Unfortunately, because of our "busy" lives, one very important task is oftentimes overlooked :  the job of telling people from distant lands that there is a reason to live; telling spiritually, desperate people that "GOD's salvation has come."

We hope that this site will keep you up-to-date on how GOD is using us in this work.  You will see the steps taken and the tools used in taking the Gospel to pre-literate, unreached people groups.  We hope that what you see and read here will glorify the name of GOD.

Let it be clear that what we accomplish is not because we are able, but because we are enabled by Christ's sacrifice, by His Spirit living in us and His care and provision through His people.  Our prayer is that GOD will show you how you can be a part  of accomplishing this task.

We went to Venezuela as Associate members in 1985, then became full members in 1990. Terri taught elementary and Tom taught math and science at the secondary level, as well as serving as Director of Robert Shaylor Academy.

Starting in Nov., 2007, we joined the staff at NTM Homes, in Sanford, FL, where Tom is a construction foreman and Terri does receptionist and other ministries. NTM Homes has both duplexes as well as an Assisted Living Facility for retired missionaries.

Our children are grown. Tammy and her husband, Ray Oostdyk serve with Missionary Flights International. Tim and his wife Sarah live in Atlanta, GA.

Child Evangelism Fellowship (Parkersburg, WV Chapter)

For over 70 years God has been using Child Evangelism Fellowship to bring the love of Jesus Christ to children around the world. The Word of God puts a high priority on children. They are near to God's heart and we believe that He is uniquely concerned about their spiritual welfare. Without the foundation of a relationship with God and training in Biblical principles for life they are unequipped to face what life will throw at them.

With workers in more than 159 countries around the world CEF® has personal, individual ministry with more than 8.5 million children each year. God has given us a passion to not only bring children into a right relationship with God, but to disciple them in His Word and establish them in Bible teaching churches so that they can become mature in their faith.

I am convinced that there is no work that is more pertinent or effective. Perhaps God is leading you to become more involved in the lives of children, for His kingdom's sake.
